meet the maker.
I'm a Mum of two young boys, living and creating in country Victoria. After 13 years as a wedding photographer, I was looking for a new passion and challenge!
Creating Wild Emery has been a dream come true, being able to make beautiful handcrafted products that bring happiness into the lives of others gives my work purpose everyday. I'm a big advocate for self-care, slowing down and taking time for yourself in this fast paced world (which can be hard to do).
I have designed every element in the range and delivery of Wild Emery products, from recipe development, essential oil blending, packaging concepts and graphic artwork, down to photography and website. Wild Emery is now a team of four, lovingly creating and crafting proudly Australian artisan bath and body.
I hope you love our products as much as I do.

THE JOURNEY
After having my two bubs close together, I struggled with postnatal depression and needed a new hobby, and I found soap making!
For me, it started with a batch of black charcoal infused soap! I enjoyed the process of making cold-process soap so much that I kept making more and more, until I had more soap than our family could use or that I could give away. So I started my business where most artisan makers do, and went to markets.
Wild Emery launched with nine paper wrapped soap designs and six hand-pressed bath bomb designs in November of 2021. Four months after kicking off my business I had earnt and saved enough to upgrade my packaging from paper wrappers to boxes. I designed the packaging and increased my range to include shower steamers, lip balms and wax melts and in July of 2022 I got serious about wholesale and worked really hard to see my products in stores.
Before Wild Emery celebrated 1 year in business I was lucky enough to invite my friend Jaymie to come and work with me. Together we made, wrapped, packed and shipped to over 100 stores Australia wide by Christmas 2022.
In 2023 Wild Emery experienced immense growth in range width and depth, sales and brand awareness and not without long days and long weeks (and my husband joining our team full time) we worked and hustled hard and saw our products in over 300 stores by Christmas.
Today we are a team of four, still making, wrapping and packing in the same dedicated studio space. Our ethos and purpose in business has not changed since day one, to make artisan bath and body products that promote social and environmental sustainability. To us that means products that promote self-care, made with eco-friendly choices wherever possible and ingredient transparency.
I am so excited to be on this journey, and cannot wait to see what we achieve in our third year of business and beyond!

our packaging evolution

where it started
Our packaging started with humble beginnings. When boxes were out of reach I designed simple paper wrappers.

where it went
Our first box designs kept with our signature block colours.

where its going
Our latest packaging designs are still true to our hero style, albeit with more vibrant colours.
We have added gold details to our designs as a homage to our goldrush hometown of Beechworth.
